Frost Science: Free Military & Veteran Admission

The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science will resume normal hours of operation starting Friday, September 15 at 9 am. In gratitude to the brave emergency personnel who have assisted our community, the museum will offer free general admission to first responders, active duty military, retired military and veterans with a valid ID (and up to five family members), from Friday, Sept 15 through Sunday, Oct 1.

Iron Fork 2017
New Times welcomes Iron Fork 2017 OFF THE MENU at The Hyatt Regency. For the last decade, Miami New Times’ blockbuster Iron Fork has drawn thousands to Downtown Miami to enjoy some of the most interesting and exotic cuisine ever sampled south of Orlando. The event was selected as one of the top 100 events in South Florida in 2016 by Biz Bash. This year, thousands of diners and food lovers from across Greater Miami will gather to watch two of our city’s finest chefs go pot-to-pot in a sizzling showdown for supremacy.

Transit Talk
Join Street Plans, with support from The Miami Foundation and CITT, on Wednesday, September 27 from 6-8pm at Miami-Dade College Wolfson Campus for the second round of Transit Talks, a speaker series that brings experts from around the country to facilitate engaging discussion about transit in Miami-Dade. This Transit Talk will feature a public talk from transit expert Jon Orcutt, the Director of Communications & Advocacy at TransitCenter, a New York City-based foundation dedicated to urban mobility.
