The Jesus and Mary Chain

Poplife together with iconic Olympia Theater bring one of the most influential noise-rock bands: The Jesus And Mary Chain. An intimate 30 year celebration of the band’s pioneering Psychocandy album.. Like the Velvet Underground, their most obvious influence, the chart success of the Jesus and Mary Chain was virtually nonexistent. Their artistic impact was simply incalculable as the British group made the world safe for white noise. The band orchestrated a sound dense in squalling feedback that served as an inspiration to everyone from My Bloody Valentine to Dinosaur Jr. October 2 @ 9pm.
