Join Frost Science for hands-on science-themed Valentine's Day activities! Make paper flowers while identifying crucial plant parts needed for survival and change the color of white carnations through a process called 'chromatography'. Ballet for Young People - February 13

Join Miami City Ballet for an interactive, behind-the-scenes look at the art of ballet. Learn how ballet began, what it takes to become a professional ballet dancer and how a ballet is created. You'll see performance excerpts by the MCB School Ensemble, including two classics by Marius Petipa: the famed fairy-tale ballet The Sleeping Beauty, featuring Puss N' Boots, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and so much more. The Moth - Miami StorySLAM - Feb 9

Want to participate in a StorySLAM? Sign up to tell a story, volunteer to be on a judging team or just sit back and listen. Details at: Our host, Gabriela Fernandez, is half Venezuelan, half Spanish, but a Miamian at heart. She studied theater in Madrid, in one of the cities’ most important schools: Laboratorio de Teatro William Layton. Once graduated, migrated to Miami out of love. She is the proud founder, director and producer of the Front Yard Theatre Collective and works full time at the Olympia Theater. Every second Tuesday of the month. Greater Downtown Miami Study of Retail Market Conditions - Jan 2016

New Miami DDA report projects downtown will welcome 1.4 million square feet of retail space over the next 3 years -- marking a 22% increase in leasable retail -- as current retail sales hit $500 per square foot and the surging population growth drives demand.
