Iron Fork 2016 Special Offer

Harry Potter 8 Midnight Release Party!

Attention wizards, witches and muggles! People of all ages are invited to join the Miami-Dade Public Library System for a free, magical fun-filled evening celebrating the release of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One & Two,” the eighth story of the Harry Potter series, on Saturday, July 30, from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the Main Library, 101 W. Flagler Street. Free event parking will be available in the Cultural Center Garage, 50 NW 2 Avenue, which connects to the Main Library via a covered walkway. ADA accessible.

We are currently looking for new Board and Committee Members.

The Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) is an independent agency of the City of Miami. Its mission is to grow, strengthen and promote the economic health and vitality of Downtown Miami.

Miami DDA Committee(s) Application Process

The following Committees are in place to further the Agencys mission:

• Arts, Culture & Entertainment
• Business Development & Marketing
• Quality of Life
• Urban Placemaking
• Transit, Connectivity and Mobility

Interested candidates should send a "Letter of Interest" explaining the candidate's desire to serve and specify which above mentioned committee(s) they are interested in, their qualifications to join the Committee(s), along with a resume.

Miami DDA Board Member Qualifications and Application process:

Prospective Miami DDA Board of Directors members must either reside, work, and/or own real property within the boundaries of the Miami DDA.

No officer or employee of the city, other than one member of the city commission, shall be eligible for appointment to the board. All appointments to the board will be subject to confirmation by the City of Miami Commission.
