Places To Go

Downtown Miami has truly become an international center for arts, culture and entertainment. Nowhere else in the region will you find such a diversity of major cultural institutions and recreational venues.

With stunning Biscayne Bay as its backdrop, Museum Park represents Downtown Miami’s urban redesign vision. The 29-acre public park space contains two museums - the Pérez Art Museum Miami or “PAMM”, and the soon to be completed Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science. Downtown Miami is home to more than 30 diverse cultural organizations - from the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, to the premier cultural institution, HistoryMiami, as well as internationally recognized artist-initiated spaces such as the Downtown Art House. The Miami Center for Architecture and Design founded by the American Institute of Architects provides educational exhibitions, seminars, guided architectural tours and an information center for visitors.

Home to the Miami Heat basketball team, the AmericanAirlines Arena is also the event location of choice for concerts and events of international status. Entertainment offerings abound, with Downtown Miami hosting a number of annual events that attract millions of regional and international visitors including the Miami International Film Festival, the Miami Marathon, Miami Book Fair International and YoungArts Week.
