Planning and Transportation
Miami DDA's work on the Bicycle/Pedestrian Mobility Plan is an important step in reaching a day when pedestrians and cyclists don't need to dodge cars, trucks and busses, but can stroll and bike down shaded streets. Work on the plan began in early 2010 and is slated for completion by year's end.

Improving transportation into and around Downtown is an area of major importance, especially as Downtown Miami's residential and workforce populations continue to grow. The DDA has worked proactively to advocate for transit enhancements and roadway improvements. These advocacy efforts have led to a better understanding of Downtown's critical transportation needs by transportation agencies, and the advancement and implementation of key projects to meet those needs.
