Revised Date: Miami DDA Board of Directors Meeting – ZOOM Virtual Meeting – Live Streamed on Facebook

Please note the July 2020 Board of Directors meeting date has been moved to July 17th to accommodate the City of Miami Budget deadlines. 

This meeting will be live streamed on Miami DDA’s Facebook page @Miami Downtown Development Authority.

NOTICE OF VIRTUAL MIAMI DDA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

The July 17, 2020 Miami DDA Board of Directors Meeting will be held as a VIRTUAL MEETING with Board members, Miami DDA staff and Presenters participating through video conferencing and will be the only ones appearing and speaking on the ZOOM platform.   This virtual meeting will be broadcast live for members of the public to view on Miami DDA’s  Facebook page, and later posted to our YouTube platform.  For security purposes, ONLY Board members, guest presenters, select City and Miami DDA staff members that will be presenting at this meeting will receive the ZOOM connect information one hour before the meeting.  You will receive a new calendar invite on July 17th, at approximately 8:15am with the ZOOM information and passcode so that you can connect. 

Members of the public can leave prerecorded public comment within 48 hours prior to the  meeting by calling 305-379-6586,  for agenda items that are scheduled to be heard at this virtual meeting. The prerecorded public comment will be played during the virtual meeting. Additionally, members of the public may also submit a prerecorded video of your public comment to be shown at the virtual meeting. The deadline to submit prerecorded phone and prerecorded video messages is July 16, 2020 by 5:00 p.m. Phone and video messages submitted after the deadline may not be played during the virtual meeting. Finally, public comment may also be submitted via email at PublicComments@miamidda.com and will be distributed to the Board members and Miami DDA Staff and made part of the public record.

Members of the public may also preregister to provide live public comment by phone during the meeting. You may leave a voicemail by phone by calling 305-379-6586 or via email at PublicComments@miamidda.com. Members of the public that preregistered to leave a live comment will receive a call from Miami DDA staff at approximately 8:15am,  to address the Board members by phone during the public comment portion of the meeting. The deadline to preregister to provide live public comment by phone is also July 16, 2020 by 5:00 p.m.

A copy of the final agenda draft for the virtual Miami DDA Board of Directors meeting will be updated the day before the meeting and posted on the Miami DDA website.

Please note that Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order Number 20-69 suspended the requirements that a quorum to be present in person or that a local government body meet at a specific public place.  The Executive Order also allows local government bodies to utilize communications media technology, such as telephonic and video conferencing for local government, Board and Committee meetings.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special accommodations to participate in this proceeding may contact the Miami DDA at 305-379-6570  no later than three (3) business day prior to the proceeding.  TTY users may call via 711 (Florida Relay Service) no later than three (3) business day prior to the proceeding.
