Please see Zoom connect information below for the upcoming Miami DDA Urbanism Committee meeting this Friday, May 1st  at 9:00a.m.   Attached is the final agenda draft and supporting documents for your review.  Please see important virtual meeting information and public comments instructions below.

Some important information before our virtual Miami DDA Urbanism Committee meeting.  Board/Committee members are reminded to NOT communicate with other Board members via chat, message or phone as it is a violation of the Florida Sunshine Law.  All conversation is to happen within this meeting, that is being recorded.  We encourage Board/Committee members, and all participants, to log onto ZOOM from your computer so that you are able to use the chat feature for any questions and/or comments you may have during the discussion.  Committee members, Miami DDA Executive Director, Board Secretary, City of Miami Deputy Attorney and Presenters will be on video with the microphones OPEN.  Please note, that if you mute yourself, you will need to request that the meeting host reopen the microphone, via chat or text.   You will not be able to unmute yourself.

Members of the public will be able to view this digital meeting fully, but microphone and webcam features will be disabled unless necessary.  Those members of the public who will be dialing in, will not be able to use the chat feature, but you may email your questions to delavega@miamidda.com or call in at 305-379-6570 and leave a pre-recorded questions or comments that will be read into the record.  Please see information below.

NOTICE OF VIRTUAL MIAMI DDA URBANISM COMMITTEE MEETING

The May 1, 2020 Miami DDA Urbanism Committee Meeting will be held as a VIRTUAL MEETING with Board/Committee members, Miami DDA staff and members of the public participating through video conferencing. This virtual meeting will be broadcasted live for members of the public to view on the Miami DDA website (www.MiamiDDA.com) Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

For your information, members of the public can leave prerecorded public comment by calling 305-379-6570 for agenda items that are scheduled to be heard at this virtual meeting. The prerecorded public comment will be played during the virtual meeting. Additionally, members of the public may also submit a prerecorded video of your public comment to be shown at the virtual meeting. The deadline to submit prerecorded phone and prerecorded video messages is April 30, 2020 by 5:00 p.m. Phone and video messages submitted after the deadline may not be played during the virtual meeting. Finally, public comment may also be submitted via email at delaVega@miamidda.com and will be distributed to the Board/Committee members and Miami DDA Staff and made part of the public record. The deadline to submit public comment via the online comment form will occur when the Chairman closes public comment for the virtual meeting.

 Members of the public may also preregister to provide live public comment by phone during the meeting. You may preregister by phone by calling 305-379-6570 or via email at delaVega@miamidda.com. Members of the public that preregistered will receive a call from Miami DDA staff at approximately 9:15am,  to address the Urbanism Committee by phone during the public comment portion of the meeting. The deadline to preregister to provide live public comment by phone is April 30, 2020 by 5:00 p.m.

Please note that Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order Number 20-69 suspended the requirements that a quorum to be present in person or that a local government body meet at a specific public place.  The Executive Order also allows local government bodies to utilize communications media technology, such as telephonic and video conferencing for local government, Board and Committee meetings.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special accommodations to participate in this proceeding may contact the Miami DDA at 305-379-6570  no later than three (3) business day prior to the proceeding.  TTY users may call via 711 (Florida Relay Service) no later than three (3) business day prior to the proceeding.
