Planning
With the 2025 Downtown Miami Masterplan as our compass, the Miami DDA works with our Board of Directors, our business community, residents, elected officials, partner agencies and other public and private stakeholders towards making Downtown Miami the most livable urban center in the nation and a world-class destination for commerce and culture. We achieve this by prioritizing the public realm and parks, connecting our beautiful, tropical waterfront via the Baywalk and Riverwalk, transforming vehicular corridors into pedestrian and bicycle-oriented boulevards, designing larger and more active sidewalks for shopping and dining, ensuring equitable access to our waterfront, implementing more canopy trees to provide shade and ensuring that workers, residents, students and tourists alike can access mass transit within 5 to 10 minute walks.
